How Can WebWord Help You?

23-July –> Update: FIXED! (Thanks MadMan and Jason!)

18-July –> Update: Something is broken. Trying to figure it out…

I recently launched the new WebWord home page. In line with that effort, I’m trying to adjust my other efforts to increase the focus on readers and customers. I tend to say what I want to say without first asking for input from readers, like you. That needs to change. I need your help to make improvements.

So, with that said, here are some jump start questions:

  1. What makes WebWord unique and special?
  2. What can I do to help you? What would make you more productive?
  3. What should be free on WebWord? What are you willing to purchase?
  4. What would be the best way to make WebWord grow?

Please post your comments…

  1. Yuri Says:

What has changed on the homepage, anyway? ;)

    1. A lot of thoughts on usability, I suspect
    2.
    a) Refer folks to Yuri, who offers website usability consultancy as well =)

    b) Fix the categories and list the most popular (interesting, valuable, etc) stuff somewhere easily accessible (a page, not a post)

    3.
    a) Content is free and it should stay so. Probably your reviews should also be free. Offer something really groundbreaking for sale instead. Read more below.

    b) Results of some usability experiments (say, 10 websites (or enough to get statistical data), one research topic on some ultra-specific usability thingie). The pricing should be moderate - I am not in the US/UK.

    4.
    - Perhaps a new look might give you a boost or something.
    - promote it more heavily online (press releases, blogs, forums, etc - get public)

Grow, what do you mean? You want to build a usability company?

If anything, you may invite usability bloggers to add content on your site (be it comments or posts), if you mean “add more interesting content” under “grow”.

Ask for more if interested ;) That’d be good enough for a start, right?
