Fonts-o-rama

I’ve been investigating various fonts. Since I might not work with a traditional publisher for UXIT I’m interested in using a font, or fonts, that people like. I’m thinking about form and function. Here’s what I’ve found.

Perception of Fonts: Perceived Personality Traits and Uses
(Winners: Times New Roman, Cambria, Georgia, Calibri)

Comparison of Popular Online Fonts: Which Size and Type is Best?
(Winners: Verdana, Arial, Georgia; 12pt. better than 10pt.)

Observation: Many people seem to think that font selection is subjective. While that is partially true, I don’t think we should be complete slaves to our feelings. Use the data that is available to be a bit more objective.
