Book Proposal Submitted
Posted on February 6th, 2006 in Usability | 3 Comments »
I submitted the proposal for the book on Sunday.
As soon as I get word from the publisher, I’ll let you know. I’ll start posting content soon too. I’m just not sure how much I can give away at this point.
I’ve been reading about how to organize my thoughts, stay on track, and get things done. I’ve also been looking into tools for writing a book, such as wikis and blogs. If you have a suggestion on how to write a great book, please let me know. I know that we’re all different but I’m guessing that some things work better than others.
One last thing. I’ll be looking for some examples and case studies. I have a ton of my own but my topic is perfect for anecdotes and war stories.
More soon!

Hi John
About how to organize your thoughts. I’m currently trying out MindManager from MindJets:

I have had it highly recommended and it seems very straight forward. I like the way it works very intuitive if you make use of the keyboard-shortcuts which seems to be very easy to lean (this is very important in a product like this since the last thing you want when trying to get a sence of order in your mind is to think of how to use a piece of software) – also check out the export to PowerPoint and MS Project featues :)
