HOT or NOT is in the personals and online dating business now. In the past, you would simply rate people on a scale of 1 to 10 and that would be it. It was just for fun, with no real financial plan except for maybe advertising. Now, however, you can click on a link that reads “Click Here to Meet Me” which is above most images. This is driven by the Meet Me area of HOT or NOT. Overall, this seems to be a nice transition from a fad web site to a real business with a pretty solid business model. Personals and online dating are big business ($1 billion market) and perfect for the web.
