89% of teens have mobiles: survey

The Age — “A survey has found that 89 per cent of teenagers aged between 13 and 19 in Sydney and Melbourne have mobile phones.”

Daniel Szuc writes: “What is on the horizon for mobility? What does it mean for the user? What services do people think will really take off? How will it impact the context of use? For example, can we expect people to watch TV and films on their mobile? There was a time I thought people would not go for video on demand on mobile phones, but watching people hunger for new phones and services in Hong Kong is changing my opinion. Perhaps we need to observe younger people and ask them what they are looking forward to. These are the markets that will be driving the new product and service developments.”
