Web tool may banish broken links

BBC — “Peridot, developed by UK intern students at IBM, scans company weblinks and replaces outdated information with other relevant documents and links. It works by automatically mapping and storing key features of webpages, so it can detect significant content changes.”

I wrote about healing web sites, Google, web services and linkrot more than two years ago (Web Sites That Heal). The significant thing in my article is that I think Google can probably solve the linkrot problem. Am I ahead of the curve again, like I was about the (possible) Google browser?
