Why Aren’t Your Site Visitors Buying?
Entrepreneur — “Is your home page a landing page? You shouldn’t consider it one. Your ad entices people to click for more information, while your landing page closes the sale. It shouldn’t invite people to surf your Web site. It’s a stand-alone page that hides your main Web site navigation. It offers few or no options other than taking the intended action.”
I’ve often wondered why more companies don’t advertise special landing pages that map to offline ads. The idea is simple enough. Give users either special code to enter on the home page (e.g., Cabela’s catalog ordering via the web), or a literal landing page that maps to a very specific offline ad. It isn’t that hard, folks!
