“There’s Nothing We Can Do”

I like cell phones but I can’t stand cell phone companies.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of dealing with both Verizon and AT&T. In my Verizon encounter, I heard the sales clerk say to a customer the following:

“Yes, we said come back in July, but we meant come back July 8th. You can’t use that $100 voucher today [1-July] because your service doesn’t renew until July 8th. I know that we said come back, and I’m sorry you’re angry, but there’s nothing we can do.”

    You really shouldn’t be upset. Remember good customer service is the responsibility of the customer. Therefore, companies shouldn’t be held accountable for their inability to provide service.

    I have Verizon service. Always had a good experience with the people I had to deal with. Not so with Sprint, but that’s another rant for another time.
