Press Release: UXnet does a Soft Launch
A Soft Launch for UXnet
June 21, 2004: We’re extremely pleased to announce the preliminary launch (or soft launch) of UXnet (www.uxnet.org), an organization dedicated to exploring opportunities for cooperation and collaboration among organizations and individuals involved in the field of user experience (UX).
UX is an emerging field concerned with improving the design of anything people experience, particularly in the digital realm. As we see it, UX is inherently a multi-disciplinary field and no single organization covers everything of interest and relevance to all UX professionals.
UXnet has been founded with the goal of getting these related organizations and individuals working together. However, in order to do this effectively, we need input from both organizations and individuals, hence this “soft” launch.
Members of the current UXnet Executive Council will be working closely with key organizations and other UX stakeholders to formalize UXnet and its role in identifying opportunities and furthering the profession.
We invite you to review the UXnet website, get involved, join in the conversation, and help define UXnet’s future goals and objectives.
