A large part of innovation is being in an environment where its encouraged, and also working in an environment where people are not constantly in a reactive work mode.

So perhaps part of this relates to time management and freeing up time to start doing the forward thinking and strategic work. Its the companies that work more in this free space that will prosper in the long term.

Who are the companies offering "innovating environments" today? It is important enough to create and nurture a successful company?

Perhaps we need to study human behaviour further to really understand how existing and new technologies are really going the work well for people rather than innovate for its own sakes.

"Conventional wisdom says to get back to basics.
Conventional wisdom says to cut costs.
Conventional wisdom is doomed.
The winners are the innovators who are making bold thinking an everyday part of doing business."
