Is this number (22B$) so high because people are overloaded with information everyday and thier ability to remember simple things like a short set of numbers is decreasing?

Along the lines of the business opportunity, what other “simple things” do people have to remember that we can support at a minimal cost?

The scary thing is how poorly self serve directory assistance is done over the web. Google could clean up on this vertical application alone, making it faster to retrieve the information you need via directories. Admittedly, I think White Pages in Australia at www.whitepages.com.au does a pretty good job.
