Evaluation of Websites for Older Adults: How “Senior-Friendly” Are They?
Usability News — “Thirty-six websites designed for older adults were evaluated as to how well they complied to 25 “senior-friendly” guidelines recommended by the National Institute of Aging. Results indicate that a majority of the sites complied to guidelines related to basic navigation and content style but not for text size, text weight, or site map availability.”

John, these are ugly ass fonts, dude. Wanna change them?
And how come it says I’m not allowed to submit news? Gimme back my login. :)

Never fear. Install this font bookmarklet and you can de-nazify pages so the font is readable. Of course, it’s annoying being forced to activate the bookmarklet on every page on WebWord. Maybe John will increase the font size, or better yet, use a relative size instead of fixed.

I still have a LOT of tweaking to do. Seriously, we need to be happy that I have WebWord up at all. It has been a battle! :-)

Be happy? You just posted a link to an article telling me that when I get older, I won’t be able to read web sites that were specifically designed for me. I’m not happy. I’m depressed. I’m outraged. I have half a mind to drive down to the city council chambers and give everyone a piece of my mind about everything going wrong in the world.
When I was a boy, we ate dirt and we liked it! We didn’t have video games back then. We made up our own games, like Chewing the Bark off a Tree!
