Ha ha ha. Like Kirk to Khan, I laugh at these technology companies. I'm laughing at their superior intellect! They think they know what people want, but they know not.

They think gizmos will sell because they are gizmos. As if most people want gizmos. Very few people really want gizmos. Gizmos are expensive and often harder than hell to use.

So I laugh at these companies. Fools! Only when they stoop to the level of Jerry Springer will their technology really be adapted by the masses. And to appeal to the Jerry Springer crowd, it has to be dead stupid easy to use. It is no small wonder that the article mentions the Clapper as the dominant force in home automation.
