WebWord Comment -- A couple of days ago I finished reading Rock Climbing: A Trailside Guide by Don Mellor. It was an excellent introduction to rock climbing. Less than 200 pages, plenty of photos, and crisp writing. I learned a lot and was able to easily communicate with some hard core climbers. I know what I need to know. It is now time to get some in-person training. In case you care about this topic, I just picked up Mountaineering: The Freedom of the Hills and The Morrow Guide to Knots (includes 647 color photos). When I am done reading them, I'll let you know what I think.
