WebWord Comment -- Do you remember Mir Amal Kansi? On 25-January-1993 he killed Lansing C. Bennet and Frank Darling in front of the CIA. Both of those men were also CIA agents. There are many interesting things to note. First, Mir Amal Kansi was in the United States nearly two years before he killed the two agents. It was not a hit and run attack, it was part a plan. Second, he escaped back to Pakistan the day after the killings and it took nearly five years to hunt him down, despite the fact that he was on the FBI's Most Wanted List. There is probably a network in the United States dedicated to helping men like Kansi, otherwise it would have been nearly impossible to successfuly escape. Third, he was getting paid nearly $700 per week. So, he had a chance to enjoy the United States. He had a good reason to keep clean, but his motivations were not financial. Fourth, there is some speculation that he was a CIA operative and that they betrayed him.
