09/16/2001 Entry: "16-September-2001 -- Don't mess with these 45 words"

Don't mess with these 45 words (Robert Scoble) -- "Take someone who is different than you out to lunch. Either from a different religion. Or a different skin color. I'm talking to all people's around the world who love what the World Trade Center stood for. Remember, it wasn't just white men in the WTC. It was people from a lot of different nations (not just Americans died in the WTC). People with a lot of different skin colors. People with a lot of different religious beliefs. Or none at all." (Comments: When we build interfaces, should we think about diversity? As in, making sure that there are a lot of options available? No. Instead, we should think about diversity as it relates to the types of people interacting with our web sites and software. Think about how to flow that diversity back into the design process. By the way, the World Trade Center really was a place where people from around the world conducted trade.)
