Is StarOffice ready to take on MS Office? (News.com) -- "Sun Microsystems is getting ready to release the sixth test version of its StarOffice productivity software suite. Unfortunately, the company is still delivering the same message, implying that StarOffice is appropriate for corporate desktops."

I use StarOffice's word processor daily and am very happy with it. I was never a super heavy power user of MS Word, but I knew my way around it, and use keyboard shortcuts instead of menus. Thus, what impressed me most when I started using StarOffice is that nearly all the shortcut keys (that I use) were identical.
What impresses me most now, two months after first using it, is that it has never yet crashed, a problem that I battled with daily when using MS Word.
