"Usability Can Save Your Company"

Data indicate that usability offers a better return on
investment than almost any other business action. When
times get rough, usability shines. The benefits are
huge. Usability is a weapon that can save you money,
improve your competitive position, and improve customer
loyalty. Now is the time to invest in the research.

A new WebWord.com article is now online:
--> http://webword.com/moving/global.html

"Usability Around the Globe: Resources"

This page is meant to be a useful and well-rounded list
of resources related to global usability. The topics
range from appropriate design to developing content to
effective testing. The reality is that there is not much
information available. Furthermore, this is perhaps the
most comprehensive list available. Please send us your
links!

"How to Localise Your Website: A UK Perspective on Usability"

This is an excellent guest article written by David
Travis of System Concepts, a London-based usability
consultancy. David talks about localization, using
wireframes, cost-benefit analysis, and a whole lot
more. It is a good article. Check it out!

You can read the new article here:

p.s. We will have more guest articles in the near
future. Authors from around the world are submitting
their usability stories. If you are interested in
writing an article on this topic, please contact me.

The Usability of Headlines

I have recently read a lot about creating effective
headlines. I have seen a lot of junk and not enough
research. There are plenty of opinions but I can't seem
to find much data. I have decided that WebWord will do
some usability research on creating effective headlines.
Sign up for an announcement when the report is available
for download. Note: This one time list will be destroyed
after we send the announcement and we will not sell or
give away your address. The list will simply be used to
send you notification when the report is available.

ITEM #6

WebWord Usability Services Page Revised

I just thought that some folks might want to check out
our revised services page. We substantially revised it
a few days ago. The basic idea is that we now talk more
about outcomes and benefits. We talk about the things
that keep you up at night! We still have a lot more work
to do, to explain what WebWord really offers, but this
is a good start. As I state on the services page, the
best way to find out how we can help is by starting a
conversation. Send us an email.
