ITEM #1
WebWord.com Job Bank
WebWord.com is looking to further help the usability
community. We recently created the WebWord Job Bank,
which is place for you to list a job (if you need help)
or find a job (if you are looking for a position). For
a short time we are posting jobs for free. If you are
interested, visit the WebWord.com Job Bank:
This is an exciting time at WebWord. The site is
growing in importance because more and more people
are visiting. More people are signing up for this
newsletter and our daily news. Because of this exposure,
and because of your generous word-of-mouth advertising,
in a just a few months the Job Bank should be a very
useful resource.

If you are interested in having us notify you
when new jobs are added, sign up here:
http://webwordjobbank.listbot.com/
As always, it is painless. You can unsubscribe at any
time. And, of course, we collect as little information
from you as possible. What information we do have
(i.e., your email address) we don't share with anyone
for any reason. We feel that's the way it should be.

If you have any questions or comments about the job bank
please don't hesitate to contact us at this email address:

ITEM #2
A new WebWord.com interview is now online:
--> http://webword.com/interviews/tirado.html
"Animation, Titan A.E., and Usability"
Mayo Tirado is an animation expert. In this exclusive
interview, we asked him several questions related to
how and why animation is used on web sites. However,
the best part of the interview is the answers to the
questions about the upcoming movie Titan A.E. Here are
some of the questions:
* Tell us about your work on the upcoming movie
Titan A.E. What is the movie about? Why is it cool?
* What was your role? What tools did you use? Is there
anything special about the movie? Do you have any cool
inside information that you'd like to share?
* How important are the "small things" in a movie such as
Titan A.E., such as texture and lighting? How much is
the user experience improved?
Mayo was kind enough to include several cool screenshots
from the movie. I've posted them where appropriate in the
interview.

ITEM #3
A new WebWord.com article is now online:
--> http://webword.com/moving/berk002.html
"The Job Hunt: Rich Uncle vs. Monster.com"
David Berkowitz is at it again. His second article for
WebWord.com is about his job search on the web. His wit
keeps the article lively and his "real person" perspective
is refreshing. If you are looking for a job and would like
to know what David thinks about Monster.com, Hot Jobs, or
Jobs Direct, then this article is for you.

ITEM #4
A new WebWord.com report is now online:
--> http://webword.com/reports/may2000logfile.html
"WebWord.com Log File Analysis"
We recently analyzed the WebWord.com log file using
data ranging from 10-March-2000 through 21-May-2000.
Here is some interesting data about the general activity
on Webword.com:
* Average number of page views per day: 1,027
* Average number of user sessions per day: 594
* Average user session length: 9:18
There is a lot more in the report, including most
requested pages, busiest days, most relevant search
engines, and much more.
--- Sidebar ---
Preliminary feedback suggests that people want to know
what log analysis tool we use. The answer is WebTrends.

--- Sidebar ---
We hope that this data is useful to you. If you use
it in some interesting or unique way, please tell us
about it. We're very interested in how our openness
benefits others.
