Wonderful advice. I’ve given it to several people and I try to reflect on it several times per year. You have unlimited personal potential, but you have to understand yourself and your goals.
It is easy to say you understand yourself and your goals but it is extremely difficult in reality, in my opinion. When someone tells me that they know what they want, I always ask the same question: If you were completely, utterly rich, what would you do with yourself all day? If you know the answer to that question, you probably grok yourself pretty well.
